Description
AMC, the American Metalcasting Consortium is a partnership of five metalcasting societies and the Department of Defense. AMC is devoted to reducing cost and leadtime through the formation of sound partnerships with the capability to address logical uses of cast metal products.
ASTM, the American Society for Testing and Materials provides standards used worldwide.
DIN, the Deutsches Institut für Normung e.V., provides technical standards used worldwide.
CTIF, the Centre Technique des Industries de la Fonderie provides Research and Development, Standardization, Product Engineering, Development of alloys and processes, and help with environmental issues.
AIST, the Association for Iron & Steel Technology, a technical organization serving the steel industry. Formed in January 2004 from the merger of the Iron & Steel Society and the Association of Iron and Steel Engineers, their goal is to advance the technical development, production, processing and application of iron and steel.
NTMA, the National Tooling & Machining Association represents more than 1600 Chicago area precision metalworking, plasting molding, and supplier companies.
TCMA, the Texas Cast Metals Association promotes the common interest of the metalcasting industry through the development of an effective legislative action program.
AFS, the American Foundry Society exists to provide and promote knowledge and services that strengthen the metal casting industry for the ultimate benefit of its customers and society.
CFA, the China Foundry Association is a national non-governmental organization approved by the State Council of P. R. China and registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the Chinese government. The casting output of CFA members accounts for 72% of the total casting output in China.
FEF, the Foundry Educational Foundation strengthens the metal casting industry by supporting unique partnerships among students, educators and industry, helping today's students become tomorrow's leaders.
ThomasNet, formerly Thomas Global Register, publishes a multi-lingual international industrial directory where purchasing agents and engineers can search for industrial products/services. For each company listing, the online directory offers contact information, product descriptions and catalogs, as well as the opportunity to request quotes or specific documentation from the company
