Option
B -- Riser on the Two Plates
The two plates on the connector are
relatively thin and have lower mass, compared to the thicker
cylinder. Those two plates will freeze/ solidify first, well before
the main cylinder. A riser
on the two plates will not provide molten metal to the heaviest
cylinder section which will freeze last and where solidification shrinkage
will likely occur.
