The rotor
is inspected for quality, dimensions, and finish. |

Out of the
mold, the casting is inspected visually for surface finish and for misruns in the ribs and
surface holes and shrinkage in the hub and on the rim. As-cast
dimensions are measured for tolerance.

After
heat-treatment, the rotor is inspected for hardness on the hub.

After
machining, the critical surfaces are measured for dimensions and surface
finish.
