Ribs Down

In Option A
the thin wall ribs and the base ribs are oriented down in the bottom (drag section) of the
mold.
- If inclusions or porosity form, they
will segregate in the top of the casting in the center hub, where they
will have minimum effect on mechanical properties.
The rotor ribs will be free of defects with
this orientation.
