SFSA has a diverse portfolio of steel castings technology and operational research projects. There are two main types of research meetings:
Research Committee meetings
Research Committees – The High Alloy Research Committee and Carbon & Low Alloy Research Committee each oversee research projects related to their respective alloy types. The committees may participate in a variety of activities during a year – senior projects, program reviews at universities, meetings for industry technical roadmaps, or conferences for sponsored R&D.
Research Reviews
The Research Review is typically held during the summer in Chicago. While the event is for the direct participation of the Research Committees, all members are encouraged to attend as the Review covers the latest steel casting research, and is your opportunity to interact with the researchers and provide industry steering. The event features both Carbon & Low Alloy and High Alloy topics. Through industry support, these projects will enable the growth of our industry on out into the future.
