Machine Processes deals with the Theory and Operation of Sheet Metal Machines and Accessories including: Bar Folders; Hand Brakes; Squaring Shears; Slip Roll Forming Machines; Beading, Crimping, Turning and Burring Machines; Ring and Circle Shears; Bench Drill Presses, and Grinders. It covers How to Perform Operations on the Machines. Hand Processes describes the Basic Trade Theory and Related Hand Processes performed in Sheet Metal Work with Hand, Bench, and Cutting and Layout Tools. It covers Bench Tools, Patterns, Types of Metals, Stakes, Metal Bending, Working with Copper, Soldering, Grooved Seams, and More. Measurement & Layout is a basic text that covers measuring and layout tools common to sheet metal work: principles of orthographic projection; parallel and radial methods of development and their application to layout work; and the measurement and layout of edges, seams and notches. These were three of the manuals used in the New York school system in the 1940’s in their Sheet Metal Course. They are excellent manuals for those who would like to learn about working with sheet metal. Together the manuals have about 344 pages.
