This manual is part of a series of manuals we have that cover all the 8000 series Clausing Colchester lathes from 11″ to 21″. This is a very unique and rare book, because it was put together and published for students of the Clausing Colchester Service Training School, and was not released to the general public. This is a real service manual, and it gives step by step instructions on how to dismantle nearly every part of this machine. It gives recommendations on tooling and what to look for while dismantling. It also provides notes on things to consider, and possible areas that receive damage. It provides page numbers from the original operating instructions and parts manual as a reference, and contains sections of parts diagrams that are related to the steps.
