South Bend Lathes 10″ to 24″ Operation & Parts List Manual For Models: 10″, 13″, 14-1/2″, 16″ & 16-24″ Description: This manual covers the operation and Parts of South Bend Lathes listed above. It includes the 53rd edition of South Bends “How to Run a Lathe” and the Exploded Parts Views and Parts List for the above lathes. The operation part of this manual is a reproduction of the manual that was available when a South Bend Lathe was purchased. It is a must have manual for not only those with South Bend lathes, but for any lathe owner. It starts out with an interesting history of the lathe. It gives instructions on setting up and leveling your lathe and how each part of the lathe operates. There are chapters on “Lathe Tools & Their Applications”, “How to Take Accurate Measurements”, “Plain Turning (Work Between Centers)”, “Chuck Work”, “Taper Turning and Boring”, “Drilling, Reaming, and Tapping”, “Cutting Screw Threads”, and “Special Classes of Work”. It contains 184 pages. To view sample pages, View the Table of Contents, or to inspect the quality of the manual, click on the above gallery images to enlarge. About this manual: This is a high quality reproduction manual which has been scanned with a high resolution scanner. Each page is then digitally edited in Photoshop to remove grease marks, fingerprints, writing, and other imperfections that the original manual may have had. It is then printed on 24 lb heavy paper and 65 lb cardstock for the covers with a 600 DPI LaserJet printer. The result is a clean and durable manual which many times is better than the original and should last many years in your shop. Ships USPS First Class Free or Upgrade to Priority Mail for faster delivery. Sales Tax Charged for Kansas Sales Reprinted from original manual using high quality 24 lb paper and comb binding. Covers are printed from 65lb cardstock for extra durability. See my for more manuals. Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
